The term bonding refers to the process of applying tooth colored material to your existing teeth. Now we can quickly change the shape and color of your teeth in usually one appointment. In most instances, this tooth-colored material can be used instead of the silver fillings that are used in the past in back teeth. This tooth colored material is now used commonly in restoring back teeth also. This way the filling blends in with your natural tooth color.

The above picture shows the teeth after bonding was applied and what a difference it made. White filling material was used to bond and shape his teeth to a more natural contour. The color of bonding material was matched to his other natural teeth so that all his teeth would look uniform. This procedure is less costly than veneers or crowns and the teeth do not have to be cut down at all.
