Veneers are a thin, custom porcelain or resin facing that is cemented on to the front of a tooth. It is similar to the look of a false fingernail which is custom designed to fit the tooth. You can change the tooth color, width or length of a tooth. Some veneers are used to cover a chipped tooth. If the chip too large a crown or bonding has to be done to restore the tooth. Most of the time only a paper thin layer of enamel has to removed to allow room to place the veneer. Some of the newer veneers do not require any removal of the tooth.

This patient's two front teeth were longer than her other teeth and she also had small spaces between her other teeth. She had two color enamel on all her teeth.

These are the results of the same patient in the picture to the left. Four veneers were placed on her upper front teeth and the appearance now is remarkable.

This young girl had tetracycline stains which are permanent on her teeth every since her permanent teeth came in. This was due to some medication her mom took during her pregnancy.

This is the same girl with the tetracycline stains after she had her teeth restored with veneers and crowns. She was able to choose what shade of tooth color she wanted since every tooth was getting crowned. She was extremely pleased.

This patient had multi white spots on her teeth. She wanted to cover the front upper six teeth to correct the discoloration.

This is her results following placement of six porcelain veneers. She was very pleased with the appearance of her teeth and finally she could smile again.
